We were hanging out in the house and then one of G's friends, Giannis, called and told us that their friends for climbing is going to Dirfi for the weekend and if he wants to tag along.
So we went up to Athens, met them and drove all the way to Dirfi. We arrived at the refuge at around 7pm. It was unusually packed because 2 climbing schools are also staying there for the morning climb. The refuge is about 1120 meters high and the peak is 1730 meters.
The climb was supposed to start at 5 am, but there was very strong wind and no one could even get out of the refuge. They manage to start at around 8am. The wind was still crazy strong but the guys didn't want to pass up this climb so they went. This climb is a little more overacting than usual plus there was minimal visibility. They could prolly just see no more than 5 meters in front of them.
After 5 and a half hours of dramatic (again for effect) climb, they arrived happy and ultra exhausted 😪
Things we bring for a day's hike! 😂
